An ad hoc structure is said to be perfectly suited to a situation, to a use, and to be instituted especially to meet a need. Hence the origin of the company’s name, which is artistically driven by the two authors and directors:
Doriane Moretus and Patrick Dordoigne.
Both have been involved in the development of street performing arts for over 30 years.
In 2010, they felt the need to join forces to pursue their artistic adventures together. Thanks to the complementarity of their experience, they offer shows mixing theatre and dance, with a poetic approach, focused on human beings and their living conditions. As a creative team, they share a research on the questions of current generations, always driven by the desire to develop a “different” language for the public space.
In 2013, the SACD awarded them the SACD Street Performing Arts Prize.
Over time, thanks to a team of actors of all ages and their technical team, all very involved in the research and creation of the shows, they have built up what is now a trilogy over the last 10 years.
