They are nine folks, fresh out of the nest,
\nbut ready for any adventure.
\nFull of energy they will have to
\nSearch for their place,
\nconfront new obstacles,
\nto distinguish between what they dreamed of
\nand what reality offers them.
\nTo adapt to this world that is shaking us all up.
\nAnd then to keep the vital impetus in their hearts,
\nagainst all odds,
\nto look ahead to tomorrow, ten years from now…
\nWhat does it mean to be young today?<\/p><\/blockquote>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row bg_type=”color” padding_top_multiplier=”3x” padding_bottom_multiplier=”3x” columns_gap=”60″ bg_color=”#f7f7f2″][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″]

The action takes place in an urban environment, using a wide street, crossroads or public squares. The route of approximately 300 metres is built around 4 fixed scenes. The vanishing lines are used for the arrival and departure of the actors.<\/span><\/h5>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1619164410717{padding-bottom: 32px !important;}”]L’Envol<\/em> depicts the first steps of young adults in a world whose extent and complexity they discover. Created in 2016, this show, together with The Nest<\/u><\/i><\/a>, forms a diptych entitled Immortals<\/em>. The two parts of this diptych are independent and complementary.<\/p>\n

Immortals – The Flight<\/em> is a continuation of a reflection on humans and their living conditions. The central question addressed in our previous show Beautiful Escape – Emergency Exit<\/em><\/span><\/a>\u00a0was: “What is ageing?\u00a0“. Echoing this question, we explored this other question:<\/p>\n

What does it mean to be young today?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1619011654374{padding-bottom: 32px !important;}”]So here are our “fledglings” having taken flight, they venture into life but also very concretely into the city. They are confronted with new obstacles: the world of work, the harshness of the times, the need to situate themselves in relation to others, friends or lovers, to situate themselves in the vast world of which they are discovering the extent, to situate themselves in relation to the share of what they dream and what reality offers them.<\/p>\n

Which way to go?
\nHow do young people live in the present?
\nHow do they project themselves into the future?
\nWhat are their major concerns?
\nWhat are their hopes?
\nWhat are their ideals?
\nWhat are their fears?
\nWhat are their disillusions?
\nHow do they perceive and cope with the world around them?
\nHave the new modes of communication changed the ways of being in the world?
\nHow do they love?
\nHow do they perceive their parents?
\nIs being young today more difficult or easier than being young in previous generations?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These are all questions that have fuelled our research and now run through the narrative. The age range explored in this show is between 18 and 30. This is a period when questions arise about choosing a future in a complex world with uncertain prospects. Whatever the period, this passage from childhood to adulthood is a delicate period of metamorphosis.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row section_type=”fullwidth” padding_top_multiplier=”” padding_bottom_multiplier=”” columns_gap=”none”][vc_column]
